The meaning of the term Jiu-Jitsu is as follows:
"Jiu" or "Ju" means flexibility, pliable, or adaptable to any combat situation. "Jitsu" simply means art.
Basic jiujitsu techniques involve the following:
Striking, parrying, blocking, throwing, joint-locking, neck restraints, and the use of small weapons.
